Wood is difficult to clean because it might crack while fabric needs certain materials for cleaning because it might fade. In vinyl window blinds, you can easily put them down and do whatever cleaning you want.  There are several ways to do it:

• You can vacuum them without pulling them down from your windows. Just make sure that you slightly open them so you can clean them from both sides.

• Never use steel wool to clean your vinyl metal blinds because they can be damaged and scratched.
